Leah Kiwara

Leah has served as an associate at Busara since 2015. She has conducted large-scale cash transfer trials in western Kenya applying aspirational thinking interventions to nudge desired behaviors to be combined with cash transfers. Leah also has expertise in behavioral finance working across projects in data analytics, digital financial products, and behaviorally informed agricultural insurance products in the East African region. Prior to Busara, Leah worked as a financial auditor and as a compliance consultant for the government in Nairobi, Kenya. Leah holds a masters degree in development finance from the University of Manchester.
