Minh Huy Lai

Minh Huy Lai is a former member of CGAP's Donors and Investors Team, who led the team's work in several key areas: facilitating the MSME working group, conducting new research on donor support for innovation, and integrating all "emerging practices" into a new e-book of donor guidelines. He came to CGAP with extensive private sector experience in finance (including microfinance) and academia. Before joining CGAP, Lai worked at JP Morgan Securities, led an MFI in Samoa, served as Managing Director at Planet Rating, and served as Chief Operating Officer at PlaNet Finance. Most recently, he was the Director of the Executive MBA at one of the leading business schools in Europe - HEC Paris School of Management. Lai holds an MBA from the Thunderbird Global School of Management and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal. He speaks English, French, and Vietnamese.
