Natascha Beinker

Natascha Beinker serves as head of division at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is a CGAP Council of Governors member. Natascha´s field of expertise is financial sector development, especially financial inclusion. During Germany´s G20 Presidency in 2017, she chaired the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion and has since then promoted the topic of financial inclusion of forcibly displaced persons. She has led the development and launch of the "Roadmap to the Sustainable and Responsible Financial Inclusion of Forcibly Displaced Persons," supported by a coalition of partners from the development and humanitarian sector, including CGAP. She also promoted the topic´s relevance at various high-level events, such as the AFI Global Policy Forum in 2019. Natascha joined BMZ in 2002 and has since then held several responsibilities, including serving as the head of development cooperation at the German embassy in Kenya.
