Tyler Aveni

Tyler Aveni is a former consultant with CGAP's Inclusive Markets Team, focusing on China and select countries in the surrounding region. His research explores innovative finance in China and has touched on topics such as payment systems, enabling technology and the regulatory environment.

Tyler also works at a financial technology ("FinTech") accelerator, advising businesses on how to grow and scale in Asia. Prior to joining CGAP in 2016, he was China co-country director for French financial inclusion NGO Planet Finance. Tyler holds B.A. degrees in economics and Chinese from Williams College in the United States. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
