Call for Expressions of Interest: Seeking Partners in Morocco to Extend Reach and Quality of Agent Networks

CGAP is looking to partner with digital financial services (DFS) providers in Morocco, to help them innovate and build Cash-in and Cash-out (CICO) agent networks that viably meet the needs of low-income customers, including in rural areas. The deadline to apply is January 17, 2022.

CGAP seeks to provide technical support to partners to assess the local challenges and solutions, building on lessons from successful global experiences. We expect this CGAP support to accelerate innovation among Moroccan DFS providers that extends the reach and quality of CICO agent networks, critical to increase the uptake and use of DFS among most of the Moroccan population. CGAP can support in either or both of the following ways:

• Conduct targeted market research, do quick assessments to collect information on customers, agents and other market actors to define target customer segments and geographical areas to focus on and make performance projections. This would validate and sharpen the concept of the new agent network model proposed. This type of assessment should be implemented in a maximum of 3 months.
• Pilot new models and services to generate proof points required to assess their scalability. This implements the concept of the proposed agent network model at a small scale to test the delivery strategy and partnerships to be formed. This type of assessment should be implemented in a maximum of 4 months.
