Jessica Meckler

Strategy Officer

Jessica Meckler supports CGAP’s work on evidence and measurement of financial inclusion impact. She also supports the day-to-day work of the CGAP CEO and operates as the secretariat for the CGAP Leadership Team. Previously, she was a member of the team facilitating CGAP’s strategy development process.

Before joining CGAP, Jessica worked at the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI), based at the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group, where she focused on gender, evaluation entrepreneurship, and capacity building. She also spent over three years at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab South Asia (J-PAL SA) in New Delhi, India, leading capacity building efforts to help government officials, civil society, and other development professionals understand and utilize monitoring and evaluation concepts effectively. Jessica also worked with the Akanksha Foundation in Pune, Maharashtra, implementing impact assessments for educational programs. She conducted her master’s capstone research with BRAC in Bangladesh in 2014, and she was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in South Korea in 2011-2012.

Jessica graduated from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in 2016 with a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from Temple University, Philadelphia.
